At the end of this week I will celebrate the first year of my restoration! I am full of joy and sober minded, recalling the past and all the things God has delivered me from. It is a joy and an honour to know Him and know that there is an answer to all of life's questions.
I lived for 25 years but I have been truly alive for 1 full year! Each day has been a new experience it has not always been easy but it has been the greatest year of my life learning to fall more in love with Jesus on each new day. My heart and soul are lifted in praise and my vision is set on the future. David said "Restore unto me the JOY of thy salvation" (vs 12) and no truer words were ever spoken. Joy is the best way to describe this life now. My worst day now is better then my best day then. I have a freedom in Christ that is indescribable "uphold me with thy free spirit." (vs 12)
But God hasn't restored me just to be free but to help free others and introduce them to the joy and freedom of His salvation and Spirit. David went on in verse 3 to say "Then will i teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee." Perhaps this will resonate with some of you today but I am truly speaking to myself.
God I will take the Joy and Freedom of this restitution to teach and convert the sinner! I will not withhold the talents you have provided like the foolish servant but will let the light of the Spirit shine through me so all those I come in contact with will feel the restorative joy of your Spirit and the saving power of your Name.
I love you Jesus, thank you for this year and I look forward to a lifetime by your side my love.
